i attended a function organised by the ION recently. There i saw many socialities and so called rich tais tais who wore branded stuff from head to toe. Powder on their faces are so thick that anytime they laugh too hard the crack lines can be seen.
What is more interesting is that their smiles are always so fake (so over friendly) and they speak in a funny way so much so that they need to twitch their mouth to talk. Is it how the rich should behave? Is it part of the social etiquette? Does doing so make them more high class? Was quite uncomfortable to be part of them maybe cos i m much younger or maybe i havent master the skill yet. Will i be like them when i grow old?
Maybe i should learnt to say NO to such invitations in future. It is always difficult to turn down invitations by frens. it makes me recall the personality profile test - the DISC i did when i was in IKEA. I belonged to the "S" category who belonged to the friendly, submissive and peace loving group. That's why i always dunno how to reject people.
Frankly speaking, I wouldn't want you to be like them, I like you the way I always thought you are :)... This is your life my dear friend and you own it so take charge of it!
ReplyDeleteya lor, that's why i also deemed as anti social among them. this kind of life doesnt suit me. There's a lawyer who told us before, you are responsible to yourself only, u dun have to account to anyone. Juz lead the life you want.i always remember that
